First Congregational Church

A welcoming, vibrant brand for a historic church community — faithful, inclusive, and full of life.

For the First Congregational Church of Burlington, our goal was to create a brand identity that reflects the church’s long-standing spirit of radical inclusivity, joyful faith, and deep community roots. We sought to design a visual language that felt true to FCCB’s rich history, yet fresh enough to engage a modern and evolving congregation.

The Result

The final design blends classic, history-inspired typography with a warm, vibrant color palette pulled from nature and Vermont’s landscapes. Clean, contemporary layouts and human-first photography highlight the church’s welcoming culture and spirit of connection. Custom textures and brand icons, inspired by stained glass and natural motifs, add a layer of meaning and reverence throughout the brand experience.

  • It was a seamless experience.

RH Design House understood our need to update our client-facing presentation.
Rachel and her team did so while capturing our vision and what our clients
have come to know and love over the years.

FCCB’s new brand identity honors its past while inviting in the future — offering a visual expression that is as
open-hearted, inspiring, and intentional as the community it represents.
